News from Italy: Pastificio dei Campi is "Made in Italy 100%"

Posted by: linguina in 2011

Our production has been definitely certified 100% Made in Italy.

I took this news directly for the italian blog because i think is something interesting also for the english speaking food lovers. How many time in fact purchasing a product you couldn't really say is origin or quality: is this wine really french? is this salmon really from Scotland? is this...Pasta really italian?

Now more than ever you can be sure about the origin of our products and the fact they are entirely made in Italy. This recognition of great value comes from the Institute for the Protection of Italian Manufacturers, a non-profit organization accredited by the National Council for Economy and Labour (CNEL), whose aim is to protect "the Made in Italy tradition, seen as the source of processing and exploitation of such methods of production."

Made in Italy

Producers making use of certified 100% Made in Italy distinguish their products from those of dubious Italian origin, giving certainty to the consumer about their characteristics and quality. The IMQ, the body responsible for inspection on the specification, requires to companies:

. brand name;

. made totally in Italy;

. raw materials exclusively Italian and of high quality:

. realization following exclusive company designs;

. traditional craftsmanship and typically Italian;

In addition, certified products must be made in compliance with security and hygiene policies. The products that achieve this certification are covered by the trademark registration to the National Register of holographic Italian Manufacturers (soon you will find on the labels of the Pasta of the Fields).

Tracking

Another big help to trace the real origin of our products is the Total Tracking System that you can find on this website. This technology allows you to check the origin of durum wheat (mostly grown in Puglia, plus a small percentage from Molise and Basilicata), the date and place of the grinding (again the Molino De Vita Casalvecchio di Puglia), the date of preparation of the dough, which takes place in Gragnano, via dei Campi No 50, and the faces of all persons who through their work contribute to the finished product, peasants, and the pasta maker to the package.

Try to use it with one of our product. You will be amazed!
