Pasta dei Campi to celebrate Sogo
Gragnano Pasta in Japan
Sogo – one of the most prestigious Japanese department stores, with headquarters in Tokyo and stores in all the Orient - have organized two great events to celebrate its 180th birthday and 70th birthday of Seibu: from 28 September to 4 October at Ikebukuro Seibu and from 6 to ’11 October at Yokohama Sogo. The event is called “Italia Buona” and is based on both Italy’s gastronomic sector as well as its clothing sector in terms of design, etc. One thousand products were chosen for the occasion, and among them Pasta di Gragnano I.G.P. will have the honor of being present in both Sogo and Seibu during the period of festivities. Pasta dei Campi was selected as a representative of this gastronomic excellence.
In collaboration with “Ryori Okuko”, one of the most nominated magazines in Japan, an “island of pasta” will be created, in which the history, culture, and environment that are the essence of Italian Pasta and above all Gragnano pasta will be explained.
For this important occasion, Pastificio dei Campi was visited by an official from the Slow Food Tokyo Group as well as Nippon Television, who filmed the production of our pasta, and visited Gragnano and its renowned gastronomical shop Dileva. Most importantly, they tasted Pasta dei Campi cooked by Gennaro Esposito at Torre del Saracino.
