Ziti tagliati lisci ai friggitelli

Ingredients

  • 350 g ziti tagliati lisci del Pastificio dei Campi
  • 400 g friggitelli (long, small, sweet peppers)
  • 200 g tomato sauce
  • 30 g capers in salt
  • 100 g Provolone del Monaco (a special provolone)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Basil
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt

Instructions

Wash and slice the peppers into thin slivers. Lightly brown the garlic in some extra-virgin olive oil, then add the peppers and the tomato sauce. Cook together for about fifteen minutes before adding the cleaned capers. Cook a few more minutes then taste for salt.
Cook the Gragnano pasta until al dente, mix it with the sauce and finish the dish with some grated Provolone del Monaco and a few broken leaves of basil.
